About Me

Hello!

My name is Sarah Fell and I am a Registered Nurse, Psychotherapist and Prenatal Educator. I live and work in York Region and am the mother of two precious boys.

With nearly 15 years of experience in the fields of perinatal nursing and maternal and child health, I extend to you a lifeline of understanding and support as you navigate one of life's most profound transformations – the  transition to motherhood.

Choosing me as your Nurse, Psychotherapist means that you are choosing someone who's not only highly skilled and trained but who is also deeply passionate about  the profound journey of motherhood and perinatal mental health.

As a labour and delivery nurse I have witnessed countless labours and births, which allows me to bring an intimate understanding of the physical and psychological aspects of the childbirth process into the work I do with my clients. As a prenatal educator, I have equipped myself with knowledge and strategies to support women and their partners during the perinatal period, which compliments a lot of the work I do with my clients around expectation management and attachment.

My experience as a public health home visiting nurse has given me a profound perspective on the emotional and mental health challenges and struggles faced by families within the first year of parenthood and the various types of support that are most beneficial to those in need. In this role, I also became acutely aware of the importance of protecting and promoting maternal mental health as a gateway to optimal infant and child health, which further fuels my passion and motivation to help those in need.

Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending quality time with my family, including my loving husband and two adventurous, inquisitive little boys. You can usually find us on a trail, at a park, on our bikes, or on the water. Some of my personal self-care practices include fitness, spending time in nature, being with friends, and listening to podcasts. I have a passion for continuous learning and have been described by those closest to me as thoughtful, dependable, compassionate, and intuitive.

Don’t let sorrow, fear, and doubt dim the joy of motherhood. If you are seeking solace and support, know that you are not alone. I am here to help.

I look forward to connecting with you!

In the dance of motherhood, sometimes the most graceful move is reaching out for support. Resilience is found in the steps taken together.
